Creating connections 🫶

Hey there Reader;

TLDR:

  • Happy Valentine's Day
  • A little bit about my thoughts on Valentine's Day cards.
  • A little bit about me.
  • An invitation to share a little bit about you.
  • Because, just like in the classroom, relationship is everything.

For the record, I am not the type to absolutely love the meaningless sentiments on too many cards (I don’t know - too harsh? 😆)

In the classroom I watched the kiddos compete a bit, and the pressure on parents as their children asked them for the candy Valentine’s Day cards.

I mean, I loved the class time together, and seeing the children’s excitement, but I was never completely comfortable with the whole “I love you, be my Valentine.” message.

So, we took two (yes two) art blocks. During the first block they painted the cards, which was way simpler than it sounds.

During the second block they filled in all the names, and a meaningful comment for each of their peers, “I like knowing you because ___.”. Or may that was during writing. It has been a couple of years. 😉 This was the result.

So when I say that sincerity in Valentine's messages is important to me, I mean it.

Because authentic connections are what fuel our purpose and light the way through life's darkest moments.

With all of that said, just let me add this . . .

I know that my passion is sharing what I know about classroom management.

So if you have even a little bit of interest in what I share about, then I know that you are doing the absolute best you can to serve the students in your classroom the best that you are able to.

If you weren’t you wouldn’t be interested in finding out what I have to share about classroom management 😉.

In a world filled with screens and solitude, it’s so easy to forget that real people with real lives, real struggles, and real stories exist on the other side of this screen.

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, let’s stop, be present, and connect with one another.

Why, because just like in the classroom, relationship is everything.

I’ll start…

Hi ! I am Marian. 👋🏼

I am the real person who creates the blog posts, videos, newsletters, and resources to help you in teh classroom.

My goal is to provide you with strategies that are helpful to you, and to create the resources that your little loves ask to do over and over again.

But more importantly, my hope is that these resources provide engaging, differentiated support to your students.

Also, that each resource, in some way, helps you to make the absolute best use of class time that it can.

Before being a classroom teacher, when I was a SAHM, my passion was teaching, and even now, in retirement, my hope is to support you in becoming a passionate and creative teacher extraordinaire.

Without you, I’m just a dreamer with a dream.

I am humbled and grateful for your support and interest in what I have to share.

But enough from me – I want to hear about YOU!

What's your story?

What inspires you?

What humbles you?

Hit reply to share your story and connect with me.

Thank you for sharing this time with me.

Have a wonderful week,

Marian
